Smart Card Expiry Date
What does the expiry date mean?

The expiry date is the day that your card will stop working and you will not be able to access the University. This date is initially set when you enrol for the academic year. Where you have satisfied all the requirements for enrolment then the date should be set to the start of the next academic year. However if there are outstanding issues such as outstanding tuition fees or, for new students, providing evidence of qualifications, proving ID etc then the date will be set earlier than this.

You will have been told at enrolment what you needed to do to complete your enrolment but if you are not certain then contact your Undergraduate/Postgraduate Registry (details above).

What should appear if I am enrolled normally? The date should be set for the beginning of the next academic year, unless you enrolled for the first semester only in which case it will be set to the start of the Spring semester.
What should I do if it has run out? If you are not sure why it has run out then contact your Undergraduate/Postgraduate Registry. If, for example, you know that you have not paid the required tuition fees then you should contact the Finance department to arrange to make payment.
What should I do if it is about to run out?

If you are not sure why it is about to run out then contact your Undergraduate/Postgraduate Registry. However if you need to make a tuition fee payment or you wish to discuss your tuition fee arrangements then you should normally go to the Finance department. If you think you have been charged the wrong amount then contact your Undergraduate/Postgraduate Registry.
