	Passing Grades	40+
E#	Pass – capped at 40	Pass module overall, but with result capped at 40.
R1	Fail Reassess	25 – 39 Fail (credit awarded) with reassessment opportunity. Please note you are not required to undertake the reassessment if you have passed the module overall - applies to 2012/13 registrations only.
R2	Fail Reassess	0 - 24 Fail (no credit awarded) with reassessment opportunity. Please note you are not required to undertake the reassessment if you have passed the module overall - applies to 2012/13 registrations only.
F1	Fail	25 - 39 Fail (credit awarded).
F2	Fail	0 – 24 Fail (no credit awarded).
DF	Deferred Decision	No result is available. Contact your undergraduate/postgraduate office for further details.
NT	No Take	The module will not contribute to your academic profile in terms of grades or modules taken.
S	Satisfactory	This component is passed.

Non-Registered/Deferred Modules
What does 'Non-Registered Module' mean?	These are modules where there is an indication that you have been attending, but no record of you having officially registered. As you are not registered we cannot release the result (click here for details of what to do).
What does 'Deferred' mean?	This means that the results for the whole module are not yet confirmed.

Credit Awarded for Prior Learning

• This section shows credit awarded for prior learning or transferred from previous study.
• Credit does not always carry a mark/grade, but if it does it should be on the same grading system as your other modules.
• Credit can be awarded for one or more modules (e.g. for AC4001) or towards the subject generally (towards 'Accounting Joint Degree').

Other Module Information

Year

The Academic Year in which you were registered to take this module. (Reassessments, when taken, have their marks recorded in the year in which the module was first taken)

Period

The semester (or term) in which a module was registered and taken.

Module

The module code. This consists of six characters e.g. AC4001.

Title

The title of the module. This should exactly match the title as given in your module handouts etc.

Level

0	Foundation/Access Year
C	Undergraduate/EdExcel/Foundation Degree Certificate (Year 1) Level
I	Undergraduate/EdExcel/Foundation Degree Intermediate (Year 2 ) Level
H	Undergraduate/EdExcel/Foundation Degree Honours (Year 3) Level

Credit

This shows the credit you have been awarded for a module. All modules are credit rated and credits achieved accumulate towards your course.

Mark

This is the numeric mark out of 100. The Undergraduate pass mark is 40. Certain modules all individual components must be passed.

Grade

See table below for an explanation of all the available grades

Result

P	Pass
F	Fail
D	Deferred Decision

Attempt

These are the number of attempts at the assessment. Passing on the first attempt counts as one attempt, passing after reassessment counts as two attempts. An attempt due to mitigating circumstances being accepted the first time does not count as an extra attempt. There is a limit in the regulations to the number of attempts at each module
